Tuesday evening – informal gathering for early arrivals at the Gateway Hotel Harvest Room for dinner/beverages
Wednesday lunch — informal gathering at a selected restaurant in Ames
Wednesday afternoon — guided tour of the new Ames High School (time TBD)
Wednesday evening – our first major “mix and mingle” at the Elks Lodge in downtown Ames for food and beverages
Thursday morning — guided tour of the newly expanded Ames History Museum, followed by a short walking tour of downtown Ames
Thursday lunch – informal* gathering at a selected restaurant in downtown Ames
Thursday evening – our “big event” for all reunion attendees at the Gateway Garden Room for dinner and beverages
Friday brunch – informal gathering at the Gateway; last chance to get together before departing for home!
We had over 100 classmates and guests at the reunion.

Ames History Museum
We hope you will join us for a tour of AHM for our class on Thursday morning, September 24th.
We would like to give a gift from our class so that the museum can continue to inform Ames
history through a variety of educational efforts.
Here are two ways you could help if you feel so inspired:
- Write a check to the Ames History Museum (noting that you’re in the Class of 1966)
and send or give to Mary Involdstad (1508 Stonebrooke Rd., Ames 50010). - Donate directly online to the Ames History Museum.

to include the year of your AHS class because…
Monies collected will go towards a special Ames High Exhibit case in the museum lobby. This
display will change every six months and will highlight artifacts that represent a past school
activity, such as a musical or drama production, an athletic contest or any other significant
event. The name of each class contributing $5000 or more will be placed on a plaque near the
exhibit.
The Class of 1955 is the first to lead the effort with a $5000 donation!
